The Head Institutional Sales, shall be responsible for the revenue generation drive of the organization through the sales of its products/services across geographical areas of its business operations with focus on Professional Services, Financial Institutions, Embassies, Multilaterals and Development Organisations.
Responsibilitie(s):
- Create a strategic direction in line with the organisation’s corporate objective
- Identify, assess, and inform the Executive Management of internal and external issues that may affect the business segments and the organization
- Ensure the operations of the organization meets the expectation of its prospective and existing clients and other shareholders
- Conduct a periodic market survey of trends in the insurance sector to develop a sustainable model for the organization
- Budget mapping in line with the corporate objective and overall responsibility for budget achievement
- Monthly/quarterly performance review of sales/operational activities as feedback for improvement
- Identify target market which may impact on business growth for the organization
- Develop or recommend products and pricing strategies to capture the target market; with sustainable tactics that are competitive
- Lead Product Orientation strategy/on-the-job training that will empower the team to facilitate sales.
- Mobilize and recruit a dynamic and productive workforce to harness the opportunities in the target market
- Relationship management with the key players in the target market
- Conduct market research to identify and leverage inherent opportunities while mitigating risks
- Work with staff and the finance team to prepare a comprehensive budget to secure adequate funding for the smooth operation of the organization
- Organise periodic business meetings for the Executive Management to foster interface with the clients/customers to foster a reassurance of the organization’s readiness to meet its promises
- Collaborate with the MCCE team on product and sales materials to ensure they are current and focused for the applicable presentation, conference, or opportunity
Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):
- Education - Minimum requirement: A Bachelors’ degree from a reputable university in any relevant discipline - Added advantage: MSc or MBA
- Professional (Memberships & Certifications) - Minimum requirement: Membership of any relevant professional body (CIIN)
- Experience - Minimum requirement: 10 years’ cognate experience - Added Advantage: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
