The Infrastructure and Security Expert is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure while ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect sensitive data and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, security protocols, and best practices to mitigate risks and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilitie(s):
- 1. Infrastructure Design and Management:
o Design and implement scalable and reliable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, cloud, and network components.
o Monitor, maintain, and optimize existing infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
2. Security Implementation:
o Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard organizational assets.
o Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
3. Incident Response:
o Lead incident response efforts to address security breaches or threats, including investigation, remediation, and reporting.
o Develop and maintain an incident response plan to ensure preparedness for potential security events.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data protection and security.
o Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
5. Collaboration and Training:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure and security initiatives with business objectives.
o Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and awareness.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain thorough documentation of infrastructure configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
o Prepare regular reports on infrastructure performance, security posture, and compliance status for management.
Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):
- • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and cybersecurity.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Cloud certifications or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Proficiency in infrastructure management tools and platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on security.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
