The Team Lead, Institutional Sales (General Business), is responsible for driving institutional business growth by executing sales strategies, leading the sales team, and managing client relationships. The role ensures that sales targets are achieved, opportunities are maximized, and the organization maintains a strong presence in the institutional market segment.
Responsibilitie(s):
- Support the execution of the institutional sales strategy in line with the corporate sales direction
- Identify and pursue institutional clients (corporates, government, associations, etc.) as target markets for general insurance products
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in institutional accounts
- Provide timely market intelligence on competitors, customer preferences, and emerging industry trends
- Contribute to the development of tailored products and pricing strategies to meet institutional clients’ needs
- Prepare and monitor sales budgets and ensure performance targets are met by the team
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of sales executives to deliver on agreed targets
- Organize and participate in client presentations, business meetings, and product orientations to deepen customer confidence
- Ensure operational activities and service delivery meet client expectations and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, underwriting, claims, and finance) to ensure seamless service for institutional clients
- Support periodic performance reviews and recommend improvements for sales and operational activities
Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):
- Minimum Requirements: A Bachelors degree in any discipline
- A Masters Degree is an additional advantage
- Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria {ACIIN}
