The Sales Executive is responsible for generating revenue through the direct sale of the company’s products to individuals within the Retail market. This role focuses on lead generation, customer engagement, and policy conversion, contributing to the company’s retail sales growth. He/she will actively build relationships, understand customer needs, and provide appropriate insurance solutions tailored to each client.
Responsibilitie(s):
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed retail targets for company products in your designated region
- Execute structured sales plans to acquire new customers, grow wallet share, and deepen relationships within the retail segment
- Drive awareness and adoption of life insurance products through field activities, roadshows, referrals, and relationship selling
- Educate potential and existing clients on product benefits, coverage options, premium structures, and claims processes
- Support the achievement of regional growth objectives by identifying and pursuing direct sales opportunities in your assigned market
- Assist in conducting market research to understand customer needs, identify new opportunities, and mitigate emerging risks
- Ensure all sales activities and customer engagements are conducted in line with regulatory and compliance standards (NAICOM, internal policies, etc.)
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare periodic reports on activity, pipeline, and performance for submission to the Regional Head
- Provide prompt and professional response to customer queries, complaints, and policy servicing needs
- Participate actively in regular training sessions and performance reviews to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting and customer service, to ensure timely policy issuance and service delivery
Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):
- Minimum requirement - A bachelor’s degree in social science or any related discipline from a reputable university
- An MSc or MBA will be an added advantage
- Minimum requirement: 8 -10 years’ cognate experience
