HR Officer is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and developing talent through developing policies, managing procedures and payroll and contribute to making the company a better place to work.
Responsibilitie(s):
- Payroll Management:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. Handle payroll queries, salary adjustments, and
- compliance with tax regulations.
- - Recruitment & Selection:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process (job posting, screening, interviewing, selecting candidates).
- Coordinate with hiring managers on staffing needs and candidate evaluations. Conduct reference
- checks, ATH and prepare employment offers.
- - Onboarding:
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation processes. Coordinate new hire paperwork and pre-
- employment to ensure smooth integration into the organization. Introduce new employees to the
- company culture, policies, and procedures.
- - HR Reporting:
- Maintain employee data (headcount, new hires, terminations, etc.) and update Converge. Prepare
- monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports (e.g., headcount, training, attrition, recruitment effectiveness).
- Help with employee communications and organizing company-wide announcements.
- - Performance Management Support:
- Coordinate the performance appraisal process, assist with goal setting, and ensure follow-ups. Monitor individual development plans (IDPs) and provide feedback on development needs.
- Liaise with external bodies/service providers e.g. Health maintenance organization, Group life insurance agencies, recruitment agencies.
Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):
- Minimum of first degree in Social sciences, humanities or any other discipline is
- required.
- · Professional certification in Human resources e.g. Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is an advantage
- · Minimum 3 years cognate experience in similar role
