Responsible for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems for plant operations. This includes working with and optimizing equipment such as sensors, control valves, pumps, motors, turbines, and compressors to ensure accurate monitoring, process control, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilitie(s):
- • Test, maintain and repair existing systems.
- • Analyse data and present findings in written reports
- • Work collaboratively with operation engineers
- • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained.
- • Create test procedures.
- • Test, evaluate, modify and calibrate instruments.
- • Troubleshoot control panels, power sources and ensure wiring tightness.
- • Manage projects within the given restraints including cost and time.
- • Document daily activities and report to line manager Periodic checks/maintenance of turbine controllers (PLC).
- • Periodic calibration checks of all field instrumentation devices (Pressure switches, level switches, temperature switches and transmitters/transducers).
- • Ensure proper feedback are fed to controllers for correct scaling and measurement.
- • Use of oscilloscope to monitor controller’s response, interpret waves and graphs.
- Data Privacy
- • Implement data protection policies and practices of Transafam.
- • Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other data protection laws, data protection policies.
- • Undertake Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations.
Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):
- • Minimum of First degree in Engineering
- • Relevant professional membership is an added advantage
- • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in a similar environment
